Each simulator employs MagneForce’s parameterized geometry system as well as its new flexible geometry modeler named ArbiDraw. MagneForce's standard solver employs the finite element method and a Spice circuit model in an iterative approach. This technique is very efficient and reliable and produces quick, accurate, stable results for use primarily in steady-state analysis. Our engineers have also developed several more advanced solvers. For example, our direct coupled finite element - drive/load circuit solver allows accurate calculation of the transient performance of a machine experiencing either a mechanical or electrical step change. Additionally, our linked solver communicates with other popular system simulation programs, such as Simulink and Sabre, allowing a designer to include MagneForce's powerful features as part of a larger system simulation.
